Want to maintain healthy hair? We have taken some tips and tricks that our experienced barbers recommend for the best hair.

 


  1. Know your hair type.

When starting a routine, you want to use products according to your hair type and hair goals. Depending on the type of hair you have, you want to pick products out that are specific for your hair type and aim to use sulfate-free products.


2. Don't over-wash your hair.


It can be easy to over-wash your hair and that will only damage your hair. A huge tip is using shampoo on your hair before you dampen it. Men tend to over wash their hair because of the thick wax on their hair, but putting shampoo on the hair before washing it helps easily remove the product. Washing your hair once should be enough. Depending on your hair type, incorporate a conditioner.







3. Post-shower care


After you use the correct products for your hair, your post shower routine is just as important. Lightly dry your hair and don't tug or rub roughly. You want to prevent damage and fallout as much as possible which is why lightly drying your hair with a towel before you brush is important. Also, trying to prevent using hot tools on your hair daily will help prevent damage in the long run. Let your hair air dry and use heat when necessary.


Depending on your hair type you can use leave-in conditioner or hair-oil. We recommend only using these products if your hair is more on the curly or kinky hair type.






3. Frequent trims


Frequent trims will help maintain the health of your hair. Depending on the type of your hair, haircuts are recommended every three weeks to keep your hair looking and feeling great. You can discuss with our professional barbers what they recommend depending on your hair and goals.




4. Maintaining a healthy diet and lifestyle


Stress has a huge impact on your hair and your overall health. It's important to control your stress levels through exercise, eating foods that are good for you, and practicing selfcare. Also, ensuring you drink enough water throughout the day to maintain skin and hair health.


We also recommend vitamins such as vitamin A, vitamin B7, vitamin C, vitamin D, vitamin E, omega-3s, and zinc.
